The alarm was set for 6:30am, but there was no way that I was gonna sleep in that late! My head was swimming with anticipation for my trip to Mexico to see my friends and (adopted) family, YAY!!! I’m full of hope and excitement and just can’t sleep any more!
Travel days can be long days, however when the anticipation is high, the day goes fast. I left my house at 7:30am and arrived at 9:00pm. The only real hiccup was trying to purchase the bus ticket for the last leg of my trip. It was tough because they announced that the bus was loading as I walked in to buy the ticket. It was a bit of a rush to get it purchased and board before the bus left. There was zero English by either of the two different bus line employees, my Spanish completely went out the window and my debit card was declined (apparently I got to much cash out of the ATM at the airport). Luckily I did have pesos, so a quick load and I was off for a 3 and a half hour bus ride.
I had finally arrived! Prayers were answered with safe and smooth travels. Thank you for those.
Tomorrow I will hug on all the kids and try, try, try to remember their names. I so want each of them to feel special and remembered by me. Forgetting a name would be like forgetting one of my grandchildren's name. I can't stand the thought of making one of these children feel unimportant.
Please, please Lord, help me remember their names.
What about a selfie with each kid, use the “markup” feature to edit the picture and write their name?
