Missing Girl, many donations, old things and Mucha drama

Our missing runaway girl is still missing, so any and all prayers for her and her safety would be appreciated.

Stores here are different than the US. As an example, this store sells liquor, beer, soda, dog food and eggs. That’s it, they don’t sell anything else.

Today a missionary friend, that I met here several years ago, bought the orphanage 4 cases of 360 eggs (one case has already been taken to be used). That’s a lot of eggs. I’m sure they may be shared with the other houses, so between the 7+ different orphanage homes (locally), they won’t last long.

That’s a lot of eggs!

He also bought them a cow, well just the good parts of the cow. There was over 800 lbs of meat.

God is able to do incredible things and I've found that He does His work through other people. Here are a few things I've learned:

1. Show up. You never know what's going to happen, but little can happen if you don't show up.

2. Be around other people, you never know how God will use them in your life or you in their lives. Relationships are important.

A few random things:

Here is a window from a church. Many people here are Catholic and there are several Christians.

Being mostly from Colorado and Utah I haven't seen many old buildings and structures. This place is full of beautiful old things.

The last two are photos from 2015 when I was here and the volcano was erupting. My friend took this picture of lighting coming up out of it while it was erupting. It was so cool!!! It hasn't erupted since then, that's good. Wait, no! Thats bad, that means the pressure is building!

The other day, my friend Lupe was cutting down a tree branch with a very long pole. He was standing on the ladder that was in the back of the truck. It was painful to see how much work he was putting into cutting down that branch, so I said: I'm like a monkey, let me climb the tree, sit on the branch and just cut it off from up there. Of course I did this like I was playing charades. There were a few Spanish words, some Spanglish (Spanish mixed with English) words and lots of hand motions to get my idea across. Lupe speaks maybe a handful of English words. He is a man of very little words even in Spanish. He turned to me and said “Mucha drama”. Of course I asked a second time what he said, then I had him speak into the translation app on the phone. The translation, as you guessed, was “Lots of drama”. He proceeded to tell me and get his point across that there were many thorns on this tree that I could not see.

So of course my new favorite words are “Mucha drama”. Today I called each of the kids over to give them some candy. I let them know that it was in the box, and as they slid the cover back, out jumped a spider. There was “Mucha Drama” and we all laughed several times as different children tried it. We recreated the drama just for the camera. Each time we filmed, it really did scare her though!
